Welcome 2019

Happy new year!

Another year is in the rearview mirror and it was a good year. My student loans were finally paid off! I had a poem published by Frog Hollow/Hamilton Arts & Letters in their New Brunswick poetry chapbook (no. 9 in the NB Chapbook Series). Just a few weeks ago, I received news that I got an ArtsNB project grant to work on my next collection of poetry!

So as I look ahead to 2019, I know it’s already a great year because I have the grant to support my project. The budget included a writing retreat so that’s huge (and I’ve tentatively book a week at the Elizabeth Bishop house!). The upcoming winter term will see me teaching a course for UNB’s new Certificate in Publishing. And I plan to start a small chapbook press that will put 1 or 2 books out per year (more details soon!). I want to do the 95 Books Challenge and I have all sorts of other little projects on the go. 2019 will be the year of art!
