First Mortgage Payment
Today is our first mortgage payment. Yeah!!!
9e Arrondissement, Here We Come
Our Paris trip became more of a reality today: we booked our airfare and rented a flat for two weeks (May 30 – June 13) in the 9e arrondissement close to Monmartre. It’s only 18 sq. metres, but it has a balcony and the owner is lending us a crib and high chair for Wyatt. I’ve already got a list of bookstores to hit!
The City of Light
Sherry and I are finalizing our plans for a trip to Paris. We plan on renting an apartment there for a few weeks and we’re starting to get quite excited. We plan to be there at the end of May and first week or two of June. If finances allow, I hope to take a train through the Alps to Rome. Of course, we will be escaping to the countryside a few times. I’m looking forward to taking in some literary stuff and red wine.
Wyatt, Talking with Milo

He looks good in Lavender. Actually, he looks good in every colour. I took this last Friday, October 6, 2006.
Weight Gain
Yesterday we had Wyatt weighed for his two-week check-up and he’s now a strapping 8 lbs, 14 oz.

Positive Feedback
No, not on my manuscript or anything. It’s the name of the process by which the sun melt holes in the ice, creating black holes for more sun to be absorbed, then more ice to melt. It’s part of global warming. Warning: bleak story alert.
In other news, we had our induction moved to tomorrow. Sherry wanted to give the baby another 24 hours. As of this writing, still no labour has begun. So in all likelihood, the baby will be born tomorrow at the Sturgeon Hospital in St. Albert. I’ll post a photo when we get back and are settled.
Pets and Babies
This article was interesting to me because Sherry and I have been wondering how Milo is going to react come September when baby makes his appearance in the house.
